Anurag Seth
Anurag Seth is the Technical Advisor at Anew Design Automation. Anurag is a hands-on technologist and executive manager, very passionate about fostering a culture of innovation.
Anurag brings in a unique combination of corporate experience, entrepreneurship, startup ecosystems and venture capital investments. He is well networked – corporate, academia and government. He has served as General Chair at the Int’l Conference on VLSI Design and Embedded Systems in 2009 and on the conference’s steering committee and advisory board of the VLSI-2020 edition; Served on the board of VLSI Lab at IIT Kharagpur from 2001-2003.
Professional Background
Experienced in building and launching innovative semiconductor, hardware/embedded and software, including but not limited to – Algorithmic EDA software, Mobile-first Enterprise SaaS applications, AI driven applications – products/solutions across multiple industries. He has gained significant experience building and managing off-shore development/R&D centers in India and optimizing cross-geography matrixed organizational and development processes for efficiency at scale (Cadence Design Systems, Motorola, Kawasaki Microelectronics). Anurag is a passionate leader and mentor; lifelong learner current with technology trends with a penchant for statistics & hands-on expertise in Artificial Intelligence/ Deep Learning.
More recently, Anurag had an entrepreneurial experience where he seeded and exited an innovative AI driven health care startup which focused on personalized disease care for diabetes.
Before joining Anew Design Automation, Anurag worked with a Singapore head-quartered Technology Venture Fund as CTO-in-Residence and as part of the role, he has successfully executed operational CTO roles in a couple of portfolio companies over past 4+ years. Specifically, first at ViDimensions, besides home grown (patented) anomaly detection statistical algorithms based on optical flow, they also leveraged Intel’s OpenVino, NVidia’s Deep Stream platform & TensorFlow Deep Learning platforms & libraries for object detection and human pose & object attributes detection. Then as CTO-in-residence at Sixscape, Anurag drove development of enterprise, military & government grade/qualified security products for secure email, secure messaging, password-less authentication (Strong Client Authentication) and encryption.
Educational Background
Anurag has a master’s in engineering in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Palani, India. He has a bachelor’s in engineering in Computer Engineering from the Shivaji University. He has done the Accelerated Management Program from the Indian School of Business and Executive master’s in international business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade.
Hobbies & Interests
Anurag lives in Noida, India with his wife and son. He is an ardent yoga and meditation trainer and practitioner.
